Minako Yoshino’s stone monument, Lovers, went on exhibition at Riverside Park in New York City on June 2014. It honors the first lovers in Japanese Shinto mythology, Izanagi and Izanami, who are said to have given birth to the elements in the nature world. Yoshino invited people to write messages of love on pieces of bluestone scattered at the base of her sculpture which stands near the Hudson River. Flynn Stone donated 1000 pieces of bluestone for this love message project.
